Procedure for Hand and Body Soap
- Weigh Phase A ingredients into a separate beaker. Mix thoroughly until all the Sodium Hydroxide is fully dissolved.
- Weigh Phase B ingredients into a separate beaker. Mix until uniform.
- Add Phase B ingredients into Phase A. Mix at medium to high speed to keep uniformly dispersed at 63°C. After the soap traces, let it sit in room temperature overnight.
- Take soap base and add Phase C ingredients. Heat batch to 90°C – 100°C. Use slow mixing to expedite melting of the soap base.
- When the soap base is fully melted, add fumed silica to the batch. Mix on medium speed until homogeneous.
- Cool the batch to 70°C. Then, add Phase D ingredients. Mix on slow speed to disperse the beads. Maintain slow mixing until you are ready to pour in your molds.
