Akoline GC is an ionic emulsifier that is primarily for oil-in-water emulsions. The main fatty acids in Akoline GC™ are C16 and C18. This product is a mixture of citric acid esters of monoglyceride and monoglycerides made from edible fully hydrogenated vegetable fat. The delivery form of this product is ivory flakes with a faint characteristic odour.
It has a calculated HLB value of 11, a Saponification value of 225 – 255 mgKOH/g, an Acid Value of 15 – 35 mgKOH/g and an Iodine Value of maximum 2.
This product should be stored cool and dry. Storage in refrigerator at 10°C is preferred. When stored in unopened original container according to the recommended storage conditions, the recommended maximum storage time is two years from the production date.
