Product Categories: Additive, Rheology ModifierANTIL® 127 MB is a very effective, sugar-based rheological additive for aqueous surfactant systems. ANTIL® 127 MB is in a liquid format and shows high stability against hydrolysis. It allows the product of surfactant formulations over wide pH ranges and shows good efficiency, even if combined with surfactants that are difficult to thicken (e.g. sulfosuccinates).
This rheological additive is capable of reducing the irritation potential of surfactants and improving the mildness of formulations. When combined, ANTIL® 120 Plus MB and ANTIL® 127 MB mostly show a synergistic effect when combined with nonionic surfactants with low molecular weight, e.g. with ethoxylated fatty alcohols, fatty acid polyethylene glycol esters, ethoxylated fatty acids, and fatty acid esters of glycol, glycerol or polyglycerol.
This product can be used with common anionic, cationic, amphoteric, or nonionic surfactants. Using it as a thickening agent, surfactant formulations with a nearly Newtonian flow behaviour are achieved. Therefore, formulations are provided with a rich, gel-like appearance.
