BergaSoft LG 50 is a cold-processable nonionic surfactant that is easy to handle and is capable of pumping. It is stable throughout the usual pH range of 4.5.- 7.0 and can by introduced into clear formulations even at high concentrations. It is compatible with a wide range of other surfactants, thickeners and even cationic conditioning polymers, and thus permit numerous applications from skin care to hair care.
This material is also a good solubilizer and can help facilitate the introduction of fragrances and other lipid materials. The foam quality is excellent and can be further improved by combining it with other BergaSoft surfactants.
BergaSoft LG 50 can be used as a co-surfactant (1 – 5%) to bring mildness to the formulation and/or boost the foam quality. As the main surfactant (8 – 20%), it allows for sulphate-free, cold-processable, transparent and skin friendly rinse-off formulations.
