Dermol 99 is a highly branched, low molecular weight, dry and silky ester that exhibits unique characteristics including extremely low freeze point, low viscosity, good penetrating power and excellent solubility. It offers good compatibility with various ingredients such as esters, volatile silicones, mineral and vegetable oils.

The unique properties of Dermol 99 lend themselves for use in many cosmetic applications such as skin toners, bat oils, light creams and lotions.

Dermol 99 acts as a replacement for volatile silicones in antiperspirants where it reduces tackiness and prevents clogging in aerosols and as a resin plasticizer in hair sprays. It also functions as a binder for power and pigments and gives a nice dry feel to powders and foundations.

This non-occuslive emollient imparts a light to moderate skin feel, facilitate rub-in, exhibits uniform spreading and increase slip and lubricity of cosmetic formulations.

It is soluble in most alcohols, glycols, glycol ethers, esters, ketones, mineral oils, vegetable oils, silicones, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons and chlorinated hydrocarbons. It is insoluble in water and glycerol.
