$0.00
INCI: Behenyl Alcohol (and) Hydrogenated Lecithin (and) Palmitic Acid
Product Categories: Emulsifier, StabilizerDistinctive Emul-Lipid LB is a unique “bio-mimetic” skin care base for use in the formulation of creams, lotions and gels. Distinctive® Emul-Lipid LB is a substantive lamellar oil-in-water emulsifying base and has a high affinity for skin, as its composition closely mimics the natural balance of essential components found in the membranes of living organisms; phospholipids, natural fatty acids and fatty alcohols. By replenishing these naturally occurring components to the skin, barrier function is restored to provide long-lasting protection against drying and environmental stress.
Distinctive Emul-Lipid LB is the natural choice for improving product stability and performance. It is compatible with liposomes and allows the formulation of stable cosmetic formulations with the use of additional emulsifiers, surfactants, gums or thickeners. Ideal for the formulation of oil-in-water emulsions, this ingredient provides for a luxurious, full bodied product. By forming a lamellar complex of lipids, fatty acids and fatty alcohols, it facilitates the coating and stabilization of oil droplets with the formulation of sheet-like structures. This lamellar network in the continuous phase offers improved stability and creates a unique, rick texture in formulations.
This ingredient acts as an oil-in-water emulsifier and can be added to the water phase with medium speed propeller mixing.
