Product Category: PreservativeGermall II is a preservative and is the most active member of the Imidazolidinyl Urea family of preservatives. Germall™ II contains the active ingredient Diazolidinyl Urea. It has an excellent activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, particularly Pseudomonas species as well as being active against many yeast and molds. This preservative is the preservative of choice against many troublesome “house” organisms.
Germall II preservative is effective over a wide pH range (3.0 – 9.0), is compatible with most cosmetic ingredients, imparts no odor and is synergistic with other preservatives. This preservative does not contain parabens or organic halogens.
Applications of Germall II
- Care Products
- Germall II preservative is well suited for care-cosmetics like creams, emulsions, sun care products, mascara, rouge and powders (pressed or loose).
- Rinse-off Products
- Germall II preservative is applicable for use in a variety of rinse off personal care preparations such as shampoos, conditioners, etc.
