Product Categories: Absorber, Active, Delivery SystemLipobead® Detox with Charcoal is a spherical delivery system that allows formulations with all the benefits of Active Charcoal without having to create a dark formulation. Lipobead Detox with Charcoal was designed to help absorb and neutralize contaminants by purifying the skin and keeping it clean and radiant. It also makes working with Activated Charcoal easier in the manufacturing plant, when using this dust-free version of charcoal.
Activated Charcoal is charcoal that has been treated with oxygen to increase its porosity and absorbance capacity. Each charcoal particle provides a large surface area, in fact, 1 g of activated charcoal contains a surface area of about 890 square meters. When in contact with the skin, it can soak up excess sebum to help cleanse the skin. It also has a protective and detoxifying role by entrapping the removing pollutants such as VOCs or by capturing heavy metal and toxins absorbed by the body and excreted through sweat.
Lipobead Detox with Charcoal is very easy to work with when formulating and processing. It requires approximately 4 – 6 hours to completely hydrate and soften and a minimum of 15% free water is required in the formulation. It is most stable in pH levels between 6.5 – 8.5.
