Product Category: EmollientLiponate TDTM is a substantive high viscosity emollient that provides lubricity and cushion at low use levels. Liponate™ TDTM is an excellent ingredient for night creams, eye area products and skin treatment products due to the substantive film forming ability. It is an excellent pigment dispersant, allowing pigment grinds up to 60% by weight, making it an ideal ingredient for lipsticks and lip gloss formulations.
A specialty ester of tridecyl alcohol and trimellitic acid, it is a viscous liquid without tackiness and with good cushion at low levels. It is an excellent ingredient for night creams, eye area products and other leave-on formulations. It can be used as a total or partial replacement for castor oil or lanolin oil in lipsticks. Additionally, when it is used to increase viscosity in emulsions, it does not increase drag, as do traditional waxy substances.
