Product Category: ActivePoreAway is a precious medicinal resign designed to fight dilated pores and matify the skin. Based on mastic, which is an aromatic resin that comes from the bark of a tree that grows on the Greek Island of Chios, PoreAway™ tightens dilated pores – making them invisible – and purifies the skin.
Mastic has been recognized since ancient times for its unique aroma and therapeutic properties. It was notably used as a chewing gum in order to clean teeth and freshen breath thanks to its anti-microbial properties. Furthermore, it was also used in face creams to improve skin radiance, which was probably because of its purifying and astringent effects.
PoreAway has shown to inhibit the 5α reductase I activity and reduce the skin’s inflammatory reaction in vitro. Clinical studies on Caucasian and Asian women with dilated pores and impure skin showed that PoreAway: tightens dilated pores, refines the skin grain, reduces imperfections such as comedones and microcysts, reduce skin shine all while improving skin moisturization.
For cold process incorporation, dissolve this active into the aqueous phase. In hot/cold processes, add this active during the cooling phase below 40◦C. Temperatures of up to 40◦C for a short time will not affect the stability of the material.
