StarvisĀ® T 50 F is a specially designed thickener based on polyacrylamide. It shows delayed thickening and enables easy mixing. This rheology additive is especially suited for sag-resistant applications.
Starvis T grades can easily deal with highly alkaline and salty conditions of cementitious systems. Their anionic nature guarantees strong interaction with the cement surface and a very efficient performance profile. Interaction with cement and filler grains leads to the efficient introduction of yield point for sag-resistant applications. In contrast to several natural products, retardation of cementitious reaction is minimized.
Starvis T 50 F grade of rheology modifiers introduces sag-resistance into cementitious mortar systems. In mortar formulations, they allow the increase of water content without a negative impact on non-slip properties. More water in the formulation leads to improved workability and open time.
Applications
- Cementitious tile adhesives and joint grouts
- Renderings
- EIFS mortars (Exterior Insulation Finishing Systems)
- Floor tile adhesives (thin sets)
- Repair mortars
Features and Benefits:
- Excellent non-slip properties also with heavy tiles (CTA)
- No sagging when applied (e.g. joint fillers)
- Improved workability and open time due to increased water
