Synafil is Eckart’s umbrella brand for cosmetic fillers, featuring two types of substrates in powder form – synthetic mica flakes and micronized polypropylene wax particles. The Synafil product line mainly applies to properties like texture, skin feel, and pay-off formulations.
Synafil S fillers are based on synthetic fluorphlogopite and set themselves apart by their outstanding colour purity and remarkable low heavy metal content. Based on these characteristics, Synafil S is suitable for face and body care applications including night and day creams, “alphabet” creams, or moisturizing lotions.
Tight particle size distribution, coverage, and light reflection help to reduce skin imperfections like freckles or small wrinkles around the eye or lip areas. In colour cosmetics, Synafil S can be used in many facets. Fields of application range from foundations and concealers to pressed and loose eye shadows, powders, blushes as well as lip cosmetics such as balms, sticks, or glosses.
Used solely or in combination with Eckart effect pigments, these fillers provide perfect appearance and improve the adhesion of make-up.
Synafil W 1234 is a polypropylene wax-based filled for cosmetic applications. It can be used to add a velvet-like skin feel and to mattify formulations. This wax can also support mousse-like textures. Synafil W 1234 is the perfect choice to boost eye-catching sparkle effects in specifically adjusted colour cosmetic applications such as creamy and pressed eye shadows, powders, and nail polishes. As a mattifying agent, it can be used in foundations, powder formulations, and creams.
