Product Category: Wetting AgentTego®Polish Additiv 5 (Decamethyl cyclopentasiloxane) is a so-called “volatile silicone”. It can be used in every application where it is important to achieve fast and uniform wetting and additionally the fast drying of the treated surface; cleaning ability and gloss are given at the same time.
As an additive into a leather polish it enhances gloss and softness and does not destroy leather print. The cleaning capacity can be used when it replaces a solvent, especially suitable in leather polishes.
As an additive into rinse aid formulations (automatic car wash stations) Tego®Polish Additiv 5 has a synergistic effect in combination with Tegopren®6922. It is used to accelerate drying because it causes the rupture of water films. The main advantage here is that it has good cleaning properties without the negative effect of solvents and excellent spreadability.
