TEGO® SMS MB is a liquid, PEG-free, nonionic emulsifier for the formulation of cosmetic and pharmaceutical water-in-oil creams and lotions. It is based on vegetable raw materials.
As a lipophilic emulsifier, it is suitable for the formulation of water-in-oil emulsions. In combination with other emulsifiers such as TEGO® SMS 60, oil-in-water creams and lotions can be formulated.
Another PEG-free, nonionic emulsifier by Evonik is TEGO® SMO V (Sorbitan Oleate). This emulsifier is also based on vegetable raw materials and is suitable for the formulation of water-in-oil emulsions. It is suitable for the formulation of baby care products, natural cosmetics, and more.

Preparation Tips
It is recommended to melt this emulsifier together with the oil phase of the formulation. Further manufacturing conditions correspond to the principles of common processing for either water-in-oil or oil-in-water emulsions.
