VAC Gels are highly engineered pseudo-Boehmite. This proven technology can adsorb a large range of proteins and inactivated bacteria/viruses. At pH preparation of vaccines around 5-7, pseudo-Boehmite gels have the property to:
- Adsorb negatively charged antigens
- Slow the release of an inactivated virus or bacteria
- Activate and stimulate the immune response
Grades:
VAC 15 Has a 1.5% assay Al2O3%
VAC 20 Sterilized and Non-Sterilized grades available. Has a 2% assay Al2O3%
VAC 20 HA is a Higher protein Adsorption grade that has a 2% assay Al2O3% and 50% more adsorption capacity than the standard VAC 20 grade. Additionally, VAC 20 HA has a finer particle size that reduces inflammation at the point of injection. The finer PSD means more surface area for more adsorption capacity.
VAC 30 Has a 3% assay Al2O3%
White to almost white translucent viscous colloidal gel (pumpable), used as a vaccine adjuvant
Retest Date: 3 years from the date of manufacture
Storage: Protect from excessive temperature and from freezing
