Versagel S 1000 is a nonpolar translucent solid gel that combines the elasticity of a polymer with the crystallinity of a wax. Completely anhydrous, Versagel® S 1000 provides sufficient payoff and adequate structure for a solid stick product. The finished product can be left as a translucent product, or colourants can be added if desired.

This material is based on thermoplastic block copolymer technology, with the addition of an N-acyl amino acid derivative. The block copolymers provide a flexible 3-dimensional gel structure in conjunction with a rigid structure formed by the hydrogen bonding of the amino acid derivative. The finished gel is solid but not brittle, elastic yet moldable, and can be used alone or as a rheology modifier in an existing formulation.
